	Ideas for Inexpensive and/or Creative Dates Playing Basketball Drawing Pictures of Each other on your date Taking Dance Lessons together Going to different galleries/museums Go hiking and have a picnic Paint murals together of your dreams Go to a Karaoke Bar Play games at home Uhhh Please help me was one person’s reply Having a picnic and playing catch A date on the beach or at a park where the brother makes a picnic basket Going out into the city (SFO) and doing tourist stuff, like Fisherman’s Wharf and eating outdoors (like getting clam chowder in a bread bowl) “ It’s all about Pasta Pomodoro and God’s beautifully created naturalistic (free) activities” Going around and taking pictures of/at different urban/city landmarks Kings & Queens Dates- This is a household date where the households make crowns & the group of dates picks the crown they like best and they tell why. The person who made that crown is your date. And you spend the rest of the night with homemade dishes and some good games. End the night with a cool prayer walk (split up by twos or fours) Make a short movie together. Do a cook off… Finger-painting what you think about your date (hopefully positive) and share it with each other over a home cooked/pot-luck meal. Thrift store scavenger hunt Picnic in the Marin Headlands Free museums Beach trips Burger King Picnic (or fast food restaurant of your choice) Draw Each other with Crayons Learn a new sport with your date (hockey?? Roller Blade Hockey??) Do yoga Origami Write Letters to God together and mail them to God in balloons…then cook for your date Dressing Up???? Sports are free!!! Go on a Bay Cruise Whatever ethnicity your date is take them to the corresponding restaurant ..you might get hooked up with free coke by the waiters?? Go mountainbike riding International Potluck Dinner Broom Hockey/Rollerblading Go to the beach and have a bonfire Make dinner and rent a movie Play video games either at home or take to an arcade…try the Race Horses they are fun and get people out of themselves Help serve at a homeless shelter together or make sack lunches and pass them out to the poor. Go Hyperbowling at Sony Metreon $5..a lot cheaper than other “virtual reality” games Go to sporting events.. Football, basketball games at your college. Go Fishing Have Peanut Butter & Jelly at the Beach Barbecue Salmon with garlic and butter in foil on the beach (over a bonfire) Fun and adventurous… Write out questions ahead of time (that are deep/spiritual) and have each person pick one (or two if you have time) and answer it.. For Example; What was your most embarrassing moment, what is your greatest strength and why, which bible character do you want to be most like and why?? Have a card tournament and cook together.. “Kid date” Do finger-painting, Have McDonald’s Happy Meals and play a game of tag…. (best in large groups) Have a paint fight afterwards..just make sure dates are dressed appropriately for the occasion. “Kid Date” Dress like kids…..color on a friend’s driveway with sidewalk chalk….(an encouraging picture,etc) Take sack lunches to the playground or park..blow bubbles….go to Toys R US and give each couple $2 and see who can come up with the best toy..and all of you vote (best with 3 couples) Home Workouts Going to a park and having fun on the playground, have Peanut butter & jelly for dinner (coloring books) Go to the park and have a picnic on a blanket and bring construction paper, crayons and make cards for others and encourage them. Take Date out with your parents (they always pay :-) ) Do a message in a bottle to God..throw bottle out into the sea Go Stargazing (try going to a planetarium or a laser light show) Go to a café Go to school Recitals Set up living room furniture at a drive-in movie theater and bring dinner!! << back
