K2 is not quite as large (or, probably, as well known) as its Himalayan neighbor Mt. Everest, but this in no way makes the world's second tallest mountain any less dangerous. In Vertical Limit, a group of climbers including Annie Garrett (Robin Tunney) fall into a deep pit on the side of the peak. When it becomes apparent that they are trapped, Annie's brother Peter (Chris O'Donnell) comes out of retirement to spearhead a rescue effort. Numerous pitfalls await, both natural and otherwise.
Vertical Limit features some of the most thrilling action, beautifully photographed amidst the breathtaking mountain scenery. This movie is one of the best I've seen this season. | |
