Gather a bouquet of wildflowers and give it to your family member, your friend or your beloved.
Create a handmade piece of art.
If you're a musician, write a song about and the love/friendship you share with the one you want to encourage.
Buy a large popcorn bowl and put microwave popcorn and a certificate for a video rental or the person's favorite movie in it.
Write a poem to express your feelings. It doesn't necessarily have to be written in a greeting card. Write it in the inside cover of a book of other poems or frame it with a photo of the two of you.
Write letters to each other expressing how you feel about the other currently, how you felt the day you met and what you think about the future.
Compile a scrapbook about the time you have spent together.
Make a batch of cookies shaped as hearts for your love or your friend.
Come up with a scavenger hunt with small gifts (favorite candy bar, bath soap, carnation) that leads to a larger gift.
Make a personalized tape filled with love songs or songs that you and your friend or loved one would like.
Take your love or good friend to have a picnic at a park you have never been to -- or one that holds special memories for the two of you. Bring their favorite food and a book of poems or short stories for you to read together under a tree.
Order or make a large cookie and send it to a friend or family member (in college) so they can share with friends.
Buy a silver ring with a personalized inscription.
Give them a rose for every month you and your love have been together.
Recreate your first date together by taking your boyfriend/girlfriend to the same places you went to that day. (only do this if it was a good date)
Decorate the front door or walkway with flowers and balloons to surprise them when they leave the house that day. | |
