Twelve years of marriage hasn't dampened our sense of Valentine adventure.  Oh sure, we could go stand in line to eat at a fancy restaurant, or maybe have a weekend at the hotel where we spent our honeymoon...but wouldn't it be more fun to eat airline food and sit in the same seat for 18 hours on a flight to the other side of the world?

This year, my wife Laurel and I will spend Valentine's Day (and part of the next day) on an airplane to Guangzhou, China, where we'll be adopting our newest sweetheart, Emerson Wen Caroline Kinsey.  Cupid couldn't have delivered a better Valentine...it was love at first sight when we got her photo.
