 | | What is it like to rediscover the Kingdom of God? Ron Protacio - Monday, February 18, 2002
My name is Ron Protacio and together with my loving wife Kaye, we are glad to rediscover God's Kingdom in Hamilton, Ontario last October of this year. After 15 years in Information Technology beginning when I was 18 years old, my experience has taken me to currently lead as one of the Manager in Deloitte & Touche's Secure E-Commerce consulting practice.
Prior to the day that God has humbled me and called back to his Kingdom, I always thought that I could make a difference in this world. Have dreamt of inventing something really cool or being able to inspire a large group of people and bring sizeable success to my loving family and myself. I thought that I could achieve all this, reason out with everything and deliver it all while keeping every member in my family happy and satisfied. I also thought that there are no real answers to all difficult questions that come to my mind. Like the ones of; "Why is the space we live in so large that we're the only ones in it? -- Referring to the Universe", "Why is there so much chaos in this world", "Why was I not born privilege and why are there less lucky than I am", and the most compelling, "What is my real purpose in life here on Earth".

 | | The Hamilton Church - 2001 Ron Petter - Monday, February 18, 2002
I have been a disciple for about 13 ½ years. There are many inspiring things that I have seen over the years. One of the things that has always been a great source of encouragement is watching God work in peoples lives.
The disciples in the Hamilton church are a great source of encouragement to my family and I. Before the church began in Hamilton, they would travel to Toronto to go to church several times a week. In later years they would go to Mississauga to be part of the fellowship of our church. They would travel from Waterloo, Brantford, Beamsville, St. Catharines, Niagara Falls and Hamilton to worship God. I am thankful for their patience waiting for the church to begin in Hamilton. Like the Ethiopian eunuch in the book of Acts they traveled great distances to worship their God. It was so exciting this fall as we finally began the work in Hamilton.
I am so proud of the entire church.
