  | | Report on the ACU Forum -- A Conversation Between the Churches of Christ and the International Churches of Christ Gordon Ferguson, Gregg Marutzky, Al Baird, Mike Taliaferro - Thursday, March 18, 2004
We have just returned from what we feel was a very profitable dialog with several in the Churches of Christ (COC). Each year Abilene Christian University (ACU) holds its Lectureship on campus in Abilene, Texas. This year they invited four ICOC ministers to join them for a conversation about the ICOC and its recent events, which would include three one-hour sessions covering three days. It was a great experience, and we believe that much good was accomplished.

 | | Madison Church Schedules Private Screening of "The Passion of the Christ" The Madison Church of Christ scheduled a private screening of "The Passion of the Christ" film for Sunday morning, February 29 as an outreach to the community. A time of prayer and communion will follow the screening. For more information, see the Madison Church website which includes an excellent informational video of the movie.
"The Passion of the Christ" is a film financed and directed by Mel Gibson that portrays the final 12 hours before Jesus' death in the original languages with subtitles. It has been praised by many as the most realistic view of the cross yet filmed. Controversy also surrounds the film from those opposed to its message. For more information see the movie's official website: http://www.thepassionofthechrist.com/splash.htm
For ideas on how to use this film as an outreach, see: http://www.thepassionoutreach.com/

 | | Prayers for Baby Camdon My name is Tanya Caldwell. I am a disciple from San Antonio Texas, and we are in desperate need for prayer. My husband James and I had a baby (Camdon) in October. He was born three months premature. He is 3.5 months old now, and has been on a high frequency ventilator the entire time.
Camdon cannot breath on his own. The doctor is trying his best to discover what is going on with Camdon. At one point they thought it was Bronchial Pulmonary Displasia, but he should be better by now. He is a very sick little boy, and we are asking for prayers. We have been praying for a miracle...and believe we will get one, but still need your prayers and faith. We would be so grateful for your help. My sons full name is Camdon Lujan Caldwell. Thank you. | | | | KNN Reloaded Roger Lamb, KNN - Wednesday, October 15, 2003
KNN is planning a move to a new home and a renewed mission. The Chicago Church of Christ and the Midwest churches have opened their arms and welcomed KNN to be a part of the Chicago and Midwest family. Chicago Elder Steve Staten, says, "We are delighted by the opportunity to give in this way. We desire to help tell and preserve accurate accounts of the great things that God is doing in our lifetime."
Recognizing that no longer is there an official voice for the International Churches of Christ, KNN's new goal is to be a reliable voice from multiple perspectives that honors God and each disciple. Many people from around the world have been asking for more news from KNN since our last video on Africa early in 2003 In fact, the need for information and inspiration now is more than ever since our churches are more loosely affiliated. The plan is for a renewed mission for KNN that will continue to serve our churches as a thread connecting them with information, inspiration, and chronicling our history. We are committed to learning from mistakes we have made in the past and continuing the good that has been done for God and the church.
