The Cupertino Singles Ministry (of the San Francisco Church of Christ) sponsored an unforgettable evening for husbands and wives as part of a fundraising effort for Special Missions Contribution. Aptly titled Unforgettable, the evening was filled with food, fun, dancing and prizes.

The event,brought together not only the married members of the church, but also co-workers,friends, neighbors and family. Singles with their dates were also welcomed as part of the festivities. The three hour event featured a live DJ, with movie tickets and a romantic dinner for two offered as prizes for the dance contest.  As part of the special evening, the couples were given dance lessons, as well as treated to a duet of "Unforgettable" by Leon Dijols and Jennifer Taylor.  The semi-formal event also featured a picture booth for everyone to take a beautiful photo to capture their memorable evening.

According to Dorian Restrepo (who lead the event with Annette Martin), the two highlights of the evening for him were the responses they received from the couples who attended. "This is the most romantic date we've had in years", "A new standard has been set", "This needs to become an annual event" and "This reminded me of our wedding" were just some of the things overheard throughout the evening.

The second, and most important highlight for everyone, "would have to be the spiritual lessons learned", Dorian said.  "All in all the biggest thing was not the money we raised, but all the spiritual lessons. It really forced us to be in the "battle" together. To reach for faith and strength. We learned how we can make plans, but God determines the outcome. I feel we each grew closer. It will help to build up the ministry. If we can work that hard and intense for and event! There is no doubt we can work just as hard to see people become disciples."
